Ukraine’s grain exports up 8.4% on year in 2021-2022 marketing season

KYIV, July 1 – Ukraine in 2021/2022 marketing year (MY, July-June) exported 48.51 million tons of grains and legumes, which is 8.4% higher than in the previous MY, despite Russia's full-scale invasion and difficulties with the export of agricultural products because of the blockade of Ukrainian seaports.


EBRD, WHO, OECD to join Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano

KYIV, July 1 – President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso, Secretary Generals of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann and the Council of Europe Marija Pejeinovic Buric confirmed their participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be held in Lugano on July 4-5.


Mobile Portability Service to launch in cell phone networks in May 2019

KYIV, July 2 – The National Commission for Communications and Information Technology Regulation (NCCR) has published the approximate schedule of the introduction the mobile number portability (MNP) services in mobile communications networks, offering its launch from May 1, 2019. Three months of the test period will precede the launch of the service.

KYIV, July 2 – General Electric (GE) has signed a contract with DTEK to supply high-voltage equipment for the 150 kV central power distribution station and two 150/35/10 kV substations, which would ensure the transmission of electricity from the first stage of Prymorska wind farm (Zaporizhia region) to the Ukrainian power grid, the press service of the Ukrainian energy holding has reported.


Ukraine cuts natural gas imports 36.7% on year in January-June

KYIV, July 2 - Ukraine in January-June cut natural gas imports by 36.7% or 2.554 billion cubic meters (bcm) year-over-year, to 4.408 bcm, according to information from public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz.
