Naftogaz again asks investors to back Eurobond deferral plan

KYIV, Aug 3 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny sent to eurobond holders through their issuer Kondor Finance Plc a repeated consent solicitation to defer principal payments on them for two years, in which, unlike the original one, it proposes to defer repayment and, accordingly, extend the circulation for two years, not only for eurobonds 2022, but also eurobonds 2024 and eurobonds 2026.


S&P Global Ratings affirms Kyiv's long-term credit rating at "CCC +”

KYIV, Aug 3 – The international rating agency S&P Global Ratings has affirmed Kyiv's long-term credit rating at the level of "CCC +," despite the downgrade of Ukraine's rating to "CC," the outlook remains negative.


Ukraine not considering option to buy natural gas from Russia: Vitrenko

KYIV, Aug 2 – Ukraine is not considering the option of purchasing gas from Russia, Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Yuriy Vitrenko has said.

"We do not consider such an option at all. We do not talk about it with anyone. Here we have a very clear position. In principle, we want Ukraine to start exporting gas, not importing it.

KYIV, Aug 3 – The price of land plots in Kyiv has risen by an average of 5-10% since the beginning of 2021, according to Park Lane real estate agency.

"Land reacts least of all to changes in external factors (economic, political) due to limited supply within Kyiv. Land prices are showing growth, especially with a good location. Liquid land plots can always be profitably and quickly sold," director general of Park Lane Viktoria Barabash said.

Ukrainian banks report total net income up 26% on year in January-June

KYIV, Aug 3 – Ukrainian banks in January-July 2021 earned a total of UAH 30.1 billion of net income, which is 26% more than in the same period of 2020 (UAH 23.8 billion), according to data published on the website of the National Bank Ukraine (NBU).


Ukraine increases natural gas stocks to 17.2 Bcm as of early August
