Foreign traders increase natural gas reserves stored in Ukraine
KYIV, Sept 2 – Foreign companies have brought their natural gas reserves in underground storage (UGS) facilities in Ukraine to 7.9 billion cubic meters, which is 30.9% of the stocks accumulated on August 31 (25.6 billion cubic meters), the press service of Ukrtransgaz (UTG) reported.

Court rules PrivatBank must pay Surkis brothers $350-mln
KYIV, Sept 3 – The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv ruled in favor of the offshore companies of the Surkis brothers on executing the 2017 court ruling ordering the state-owned PrivatBank to service their deposits, the debt for which the plaintiffs estimate at $350 million, Law Adviser to PrivatBank Andriy Pozhydayev said Wednesday.

Ukraine may start getting 1 Bcm/year of natural gas from Poland
KYIV, Sept 2 – Ukraine may start getting about 1 billion cubic meters of gas after the launch of the interconnector between Ukraine and Poland, and then the volumes could further increase as Poland seks to expand terminal capacity, Energy and Ecology Minister Oleksiy Orzhel said. |
Ukraine targets energy efficiency to boost economic growth
KYIV, Sept 2 – Energy efficiency is one of the priority tasks for Ukraine, Energy and Environment Minister Oleksiy Orzhel said Monday.
"One of the top priorities is energy efficiency. In particular, we are laying down the logic according to which certain steps will be taken so that energy efficiency at the infrastructure level becomes a driver of economic growth in Ukraine," he said at a briefing in Kyiv. |
