Kherson??™s Russian-owned refinery to stay idle for another month

KIEV, Oct. 3 - Kherson NaftoPererobka, Ukraine's thirlargest oil refinery, controlled by Russian oil company Alliance Oil, said Monday it will delay restart for at least one month.


Zelenskyy signs legislation to gradually increase excise tax on fuel

KYIV, Sept 2 – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law on the phased increase of the excise tax on fuel.

McDonald's opens its 10th restaurant in Odesa at OKKO gas station

KYIV, Sept 2 - McDonald's Ukraine Ltd., a foreign investment company developing the McDonald's fast food restaurant chain in Ukraine, on Friday opened its tenth restaurant in Odesa, which became the fourth project in cooperation with the gas station and the first in cooperation with the OKKO gas station.


Velta Group secures EUR 7.3-mln 4-year grant to advance technology

Gasoline, diesel fuel prices seen to remain stable, A-95 analyst says

KYIV, Sept 3 – Serhiy Kuyun, Director of the A-95 Consulting Group, expects an increase in the price of auto gas, which is forecasted to reach UAH 33 per liter, while gasoline and diesel prices are likely to remain stable, despite the introduction of new excise taxes on September 1.


Ukraine’s business activity expectations accelerate increase in August

KYIV, Sept 3 – The Business activity expectations index (BAEI), calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on a scale from zero to 100, continued to grow after increasing by 0.8 points in July, and gained another 4 points in August, to 48.4, approaching the value of May this year (48 points), the regulator’s website reports.


Ukrnafta boosts oil production 4.5% on year to 828,00mt in January-July

KYIV, Sept 1 - In January-July 2023, Ukrnafta increased production of oil with condensate by 4.5% (by 36,000 tons) compared to the same period in 2022 - up to 828,000 tons, the company's press service reported.


Ukraine’s business activity expectations index rises to 49.3 in August: NBU

KYIV, Sept 1 – The business activity expectations index (BAEI), calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on a scale from zero to 100, rose to 49.3 points in August from 48.8 in July, coming close to its neutral level of 50 points, which it reached in April-June, reaching values from 50.5 to 51.5 points.


Parliament approves incentives for EV production in Ukraine

KYIV, Sept 2 – Parliament has approved some fiscal incentives for the development of electric transport in Ukraine, in particular, VAT and import duty exemption from 2021 until 2028 for equipment and spare parts for own production of electric transport (passenger cars, electric buses, electric trucks and special-purpose vehicles).


UGA lowers Ukraine’s 2020-2021 grain, oilseed output forecast

KYIV, Sept 2 – The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) in its September report lowered the forecast for the gross harvest of grains and oilseeds this season from 96.7 to 95.6 million tons, exports from 58.4 to 56.3 million tons due to unfavorable weather conditions for the harvest of late crops in some regions of Ukraine.
