Ukraine may increase grain, oilseed output 14.5% on year in 2021/2022
KYIV, April 30 – The potential harvest of grains and oilseeds in the 2021/2022 marketing year (MY) may increase by 14.5% compared to 2020/2021 MY, to 96.25 million tons due to good wintering of winter crops and favorable weather conditions, the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) has said in its April forecast on its website on Thursday.

Fitch Ratings removes DTEK Renewables from Negative Rating Watch
KYIV, April 30 - Fitch Ratings has affirmed Ukraine-based electricity generation company DTEK Renewables B.V.'s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'B-' and removed it from Rating Watch Negative (RWN), the outlook is stable, the rating agency said on its website.

Naftogaz chief suggests merging Ukrnafta, Ukrtatnafta to form oil major
KYIV, April 30 – The newly-appointed chairman of the board of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, Yuriy Vitrenko, proposes to consider the merger of Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk oil refinery) with the subsequent receipt of a controlling stake in the new vertically integrated company by the state.

Cell phone firms may use each other’s equipment in remote areas
KYIV, May 4 – Cooperation between mobile communications operators in implementing the principle of common access to infrastructure would allow considerably cut investment in coverage of remote areas for each company, CEO of lifecell mobile operator Ismet Yazici said. |
