EIB €200 million credit line to finance urban public transport

KIEV, Oct. 4 - The European Investment Bank will open a credit line of EUR200 million to finance investment in urban public transport to 20 municipalities in Ukraine.


Ukraine seeking financial institutions to sell off state bank shares

KIEV, Oct. 3 – Ukraine hopes to start seeking reliable international financial institutions in the middle of 2018 to sell at least 20% of shares in the country's two largest state-owned banks, Oschadbank and Ukreximbank, a Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policies by the Ukrainian government with the International Monetary Fund reads.


Thermal plant coal storage reported up 5.2% to 1.9 million tons

KIEV, Oct. 1 - Coal stored in the warehouses of Ukrainian thermal power plants from September 28 to September 30 increased by 5.6% or by 102,000 tons, to 1.902 million tons, according to Ukrenergo.


Ukrnafta pays UAH200 million 2014 dividend to state treasury

KIEV, Oct. 1 – Ukrnafta has paid UAH 200 million in dividends to the state for 2014, Chairman Mark Rollins told reporters on Thursday in Kiev.

"This week we've paid a part of dividends for 2014 – UAH 200 million. Dividends for 2014 have not been paid in the full amount – it is planned to finish [payments] by the end of this week or early next week," he said.


American Chamber calls on government to suspend new customs rules

KIEV, Oct. 1 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has asked Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko to suspend cabinet resolution No. 724 on the benchmarks of the customs value of imported goods.
