UGA increases Ukraine’s 2023 grain output forecast to 81.6-mln mt
KYIV, Nov 3 – The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) has once again updated its assessment of the potential harvest of grain and oilseed crops in 2023, raising it by 1.1 million tons to 81.6 million tons, which is 10.6% more than in 2022 (73.8 million tons), the press service of the association has reported.

GTSOU boosts EU gas shipments to Moldova 350% on year in Apr-Oct
KYIV, Nov 3 – From April to October 2023, the Ukrainian Gas Transmission System Operator (GTSOU) transported 3.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas from the EU and Moldova to Ukraine, which is 4.5 times more than in the same period last year – 716 million cubic meters.

Ukraine’s Q3 economy seen shrinking 3.6%
KYIV, Nov 5 – Ukraine’s economy probably contracted 3.6% on the year in the third quarter, according to a forecast by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture. The economy is expected to shrink 5.5% on the year in January through September, the ministry said Thursday.

Ukraine, Russia in U.K legal battle over $3-bln in eurobonds
KYIV, Nov 4 – Ukraine and Russia have entered into the court hearing of the case Pakistan International Airline Corporation v Times Travel (UK) Ltd (Times Travel) on the doctrine of compulsion under English law, which is pending appeal at The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and the decision on which will influence the decision on the dispute between Kyiv and Moscow on eurobonds for $3 billion, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance said.

Ukraine’s October business expectations index suggests slowing
KYIV, Nov 4 – The index of business expectations, which characterizes the improvement (from 50 to 100) or worsening (from 50 to 0) of expectations compared to the previous month, in October decreased by 4.2 points to 52.3, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has said. |
Lviv authorities mull UAH 1-bln fund to connect ski resorts in region
KYIV, Nov 5 – The Lviv Regional Administration with participation of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administration and Zakarpattia Regional Administration is completing the development of the Small Carpathian Ring project foreseeing the construction of a road ring of 100 km long to connect three regions and ski resorts. Investment in the project is estimated at UAH 1 billion. |
