KYIV, Aug 2 – U.K.-based Ferrexpo plc, which in Ukraine controls Poltava and Yeristovo ore mining and processing enterprises (GOK), in January-June 2018 slightly reduced the share of sales of pellets in natural terms compared to January-June of the previous year in Central and Western Europe, Turkey, as well as in the macro-region of Northeast Asia, but increased in China, and Southeast Asia.


Metinvest steel, mining group increases output by 4% on yr in January-June

KYIV, Aug 2 - Metinvest, a mining and metallurgical group, in January-June 2018 increased output of steel by 4% compared to the same period in 2017, to 3.794 million tons, cast iron by 14%, to 4.292 million tons, total production of coke by 25%, to 2.664 million tons, while decreasing production of commercial coke by 18%, to 800,000 tons.

Kyiv Mayor seeks outdoor advertising levels to be reduced soon

"We found a compromise with all the key players in the advertising market and agreed that there should be less outdoor advertising in the city. Today, for example, you will not see so-called cross street banners in the center of Kyiv.
