KYIV, Aug 2 - Ukraine’s wheat harvest will drop to 23 million metric tons in 2018 against 26.2 million tons in 2017, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.
"As of August 1 some 18.481 million tons of wheat had been threshed. The average yield is 35.3 centners per hectare. Wheat is harvested from 5.24 million hectares, or 79% of the plan. We keep the wheat yield forecast at 23 million tons," First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maksym Martyniuk wrote on Facebook.
