Signing paves way for Ukraine's associate membership in CERN

KIEV, Oct. 4 – Ukraine and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) have signed an agreement for the provision of an associate membership of this organization to Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko signed this agreement on behalf of Ukraine, the State Agency on Science, Innovations and Informatization reported.


Regions lawmakers propose 5% duty on polyvinylchloride imports

KIEV, Oct. 6 – Lawmakers from the Regions Party faction Dmytro Sandler, Oleskiy Fedun and Ihor Zvarych, and a lawmaker from the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense faction, Roman Tkach, have proposed to introduce a 5% duty on imports of polyvinylchloride (PVC), reads a posting on the Web site of the Ukrainian parliament.
