DTEK Energy receives permission to convene debtors for restructuring

KIEV , Dec. 6 - The Royal Courts of Justice ( London ) has allowed Ukraine 's largest private energy holding DTEK Energy to convene eurobond holders to vote on the long-term restructuring of the securities.


Trade group: Russian Turkey sanctions could help Ukraine construction

KIEV, Dec. 3 - The possible introduction by the Russian Federation of restrictions on imports of construction materials and equipment from Turkey and the reorientation of Turkish companies to the Ukrainian market will not significantly affect the Ukrainian market of construction materials but could contribute to the growth of Turkish equipment supplies to the country.


Ukraine property values will continue fall in 2016, realtors say

KIEV, Dec. 4 – The fall in U.S. dollar prices of property in Ukraine will continue in 2016 at the rate of 3% to 5% a month, Chamber of Realtors of Ukraine Chairman Viktor Nesin said.


Creative Group creditors pursuing $74 million syndicated claim

KIEV, Dec. 4 – Participants of the syndicated facility of $300 million for the Creative Group are trying to avoid paying $74 million they owe.

According to the claim of the creditors sent to the Prosecutor General's Office, Interior Ministry and Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry, in September 2012 Creative and several international and Ukrainian banks signed an agreement on the credit line with a limit of $300 million.

Electric production increased 3.9% through Nov. 30, says government

KIEV, Dec. 5 – The production of electricity in Ukraine's integrated power grids rose by 3.9%, or 6.620 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) in January through November 2011 from the same period of 2010, to 175.509 billion kWh, according to the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.


Government lowers 2011-2012 grain export forecast by 4 million tons

KIEV, Dec. 5 - Ukraine's Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry has lowered its forecast for grain exports in the 2011-2012 marketing year (July 2011-June 2012) from 27 million tons to 23-24 million tons, or by 11-15%, due to an increase in ending bread grain stocks, said Serhiy Kvasha, the director of the ministry's economic development and agrarian market department.
