TNK-BP calls on government to lower refinery taxes, restrict imports

KIEV, Feb. 28 - Russian oil major TNK-BP on Tuesday urged the Ukrainian government to lower taxes on oil refineries and to restrict imports of gasoline and diesel fuel by hiking duties and imposing quotas.


Industrial shale gas projects could take 6-7 years, says official

KIEV, Feb. 27 - Industrial production of shale gas at the Yuzovska (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) and Oleske (Lviv and Ivano-Frankovsk regions) sections in Ukraine should start six to seven years after the signing of a production sharing agreement with the winners of the tenders for these fields, according to Volodymyr Ihnaschenko, the secretary of the Ukrainian interagency commission for organizing the singing and implementation of PSAs.

NABU to begin investigation of Defense Minister after corruption allegations

KYIV, Jan 28 – The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has confirmed that it registered an investigation based on a report from the Anti-Corruption Action Centre (AntAC) regarding alleged criminal misconduct by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, as outlined under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (abuse of power or official position).

Ukrainian officials meet U.S. counterparts to discuss SMR Technology

Ukraine to establish Ukrposhta Bank in 2025 after acquiring Pinbank

Wind Parks installs first 80 MW wind turbine on Lviv- Zakarpattia border

KYIV, Jan 26 - The management company Wind Parks of Ukraine has completed the installation of the first wind turbine of the Ostrovsky wind park with a total installed capacity of 80 MW, located on the territory of the Nyzhni Vorota community on the border of Lviv and Zakarpattia regions, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) reported.
