Ukraine calls for another trilateral meeting to discuss gas supply

KIEV, Feb. 25 – Ukraine has proposed that a meeting to discuss gas supply to Ukraine with the participation of Russia's Gazprom and representatives of the European Union be held, Andriy Kobolev, head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny told reporters before a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

KIEV, Feb. 28 - Ukraine, following a feasibility study, has selected a site for the construction of a planned liquefied natural gas terminal near the port of Pivdenniy in the Odessa region, a senior official said Tuesday.

Vladyslav Kaskiv, the head of the State Investment and National Projects Management Agency, which handles the terminal project, said the decision will be officially announced next month.


TNK-BP calls on government to lower refinery taxes, restrict imports

Industrial shale gas projects could take 6-7 years, says official

KIEV, Feb. 27 - Industrial production of shale gas at the Yuzovska (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) and Oleske (Lviv and Ivano-Frankovsk regions) sections in Ukraine should start six to seven years after the signing of a production sharing agreement with the winners of the tenders for these fields, according to Volodymyr Ihnaschenko, the secretary of the Ukrainian interagency commission for organizing the singing and implementation of PSAs.


State Geology Service to submit oil & gas licensing proposals by May

KIEV, Feb. 28 - The State Geology and Deposits Service intends by May to submit proposals on licensing a number of oil and gas properties to the prime minister and the interagency commission responsible for signing production sharing agreements.
