Ecosolar Invest leases land in Chornobyl to install solar panels

KIEV, July 6 – The State Agency for Managing the Exclusion Zone has leased land parcels of 3.4 ha and 1.7 ha to Ecosolar Invest LLC and Solar Chornobyl to build solar power plants on them, according to the materials posted on the government's website.


Swiss oil, gas trader MET gets license to enter Ukrainian market

KIEV, July 6 – MET Ukraine LLC, a Ukrainian subsidiary of the Swiss-based oil and gas trading company MET Holding AG, has obtained license to supply gas to consumers in Ukraine, according state regulator.

Ukraine’s consumer inflation accelerates to 1.6% on month in June

KIEV, July 7 – Ukraine’s consumer inflation rose to 1.6% in June from 1.3% in May and 0.9% in April, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

Consumer prices were up 15.6% on the year in June, accelerating the pace from 13.5% on the year in May and 12.2% on the year in April.


Lviv agricultural company begins exporting fresh berries to Poland

KIEV, July 8 - Shuvar agricultural products market LLC (Lviv) early July sent its first batches of Ukrainian currant to Poland.

"We were preparing for this event conscientiously: we looked for reliable suppliers of high quality products in Ukraine and potential buyers in Poland. The first batch of currant we exported this week was only several hundreds of kilograms, but this experiment was a success," Shuvar Director Ihor Plotitsa said.


China Development Bank extends deadline for $3.3 billion loan program

KIEV, July 8 – Ukrgazvydobuvannia receives up to 200,000 cubic meters of gas less due to damage of gas pipelines that connect the company's extraction fields in Donbas, Ukrgazvydobuvannia head Serhiy Kostiuk said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.


Hryvnia won't tank further this year, according to trade minister

KIEV, July 8 – Ukraine's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is not expecting the further devaluation of the hryvnia and an increase in the rate of inflation growth in the current year, Minister Pavlo Sheremeta has said at a briefing in Kiev.
