KIEV, July 7 – Ukraine’s consumer inflation rose to 1.6% in June from 1.3% in May and 0.9% in April, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.
Consumer prices were up 15.6% on the year in June, accelerating the pace from 13.5% on the year in May and 12.2% on the year in April.
The agency said the main reason for inflation acceleration in June was the rise in prices for fruit and vegetables by 13.5% and 16.4%, eggs by 18.3% and housing rent by 8.9%.
