Agriculture group criticizes cabinet grain export quota decision
KIEV, Oct. 11 – The cabinet decision to impose grain export quotas is groundless, said Leonid Kozachenko, president of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation.
"I think that [the introduction of grain export] quotas is a wrong decision. We have excess of grain, which should be exported, so export should be supported, and everything should be done so that farmers received the maximum price of its products," he said. |

Ukravtodor to borrow $600m from World Bank to renovate highway
KIEV, Oct. 9 - The State Road Service (Ukravtodor) plans to borrow $600 million from the World Bank to renovate the Lubny-Poltava highway.
"Taking into consideration the positive experience of cooperation with international financial organizations and the limited budgets in the near-term outlook, the government has decided to prolong cooperation with the IFOs, namely the World Bank," Ukravtodor said in a statement. |
