Ukraine’s economic growth may exceed 5% by end-2023, NBU official says
KYIV, Jan 11 – The growth of the Ukrainian economy by the end of 2023 could exceed 5% thanks to larger-than-expected receipts of international financial assistance, a good harvest, the absence of interruptions in the energy system, a new sea corridor and the adaptability of entrepreneurs, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Serhiy Nikolaychuk has said.

Ukrainian resident deposits rise 26.4% to UAH 2.39 trillion in 2023
KYIV, Jan 11 – Deposits of Ukrainian residents in 2023 increased by 26.4%, to UAH 2.393 trillion, including of the population by 16.5%, to UAH 1.081 trillion, while of the corporate sector by 41%, to UAH 1.279 trillion, according to information on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Cost of heat, water will not change this winter, Klitschko says
KYIV Jan 13 – The cost of heating and hot water in the capital will not change this winter, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Wednesday.
"The issue of tariffs is brought up every heating season. The cost of electricity and gas, which are the main components for heat production and hot water supply, is increasing. And this is the reason for revising tariffs for heat and hot water," the mayor said during an online briefing.
