KIEV, Aug. 12 – The cost of obtaining foreign loans for Ukrainian banks will remain high until the end of 2008 against the backdrop of reduced investor activity, says Denys Horbunenko, the governor of Rodovid Bank's board.

KIEV, Aug. 13 – The non-consolidated net profit of national Naftogaz Ukrayiny from January through June soared 8.9 times, or by UAH 2.369 billion year-over-year, to UAH 2.670 billion according to Ukrainian accounting standards.

KIEV, Aug. 13 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny has offered to buy a disputed 18.3% stake in Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk oil refinery), after the stocks were returned to the issuer (Ukrtatnafta) under a court ruling, First Deputy Justice Minister Yevhen Korniychuk told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday.

KIEV, Aug. 10 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny posted a UAH300.6-milllion net profit in the second quarter of 2007 compared to UAH 1.064 million posted in the first quarter.

As Interfax-Ukraine learnt from Naftogaz Ukrayiny on Friday, the company's gross revenues in the second quarter traditionally decreased to UAH4.309 billion from UAH 7.370 billion in the first quarter due to the completion of the heating season.
