EBA says Ukraine must seek U.N. action to deblock Black Sea trade
KYIV, May 13 - The European Business Association (EBA) called on the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the Foreign Minister to initiate a country's appeal to the UN regarding the possibility of creating a special forbidden zone in order to counter the blocking of Ukrainian trade by Russia.

EBRD receives $1-bln in commitments from donors to support Ukraine
KYIV, May 12 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) at its annual meeting and business forum in Marrakesh (Morocco) has received commitments heading towards EUR 1 billion in donor funds to support its response to the war on Ukraine, the bank said.

AMC slaps UAH 77-mln fine on OKKO, WOG and SOCAR for no competition
KYIV, May 14 – The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) has fined the networks of OKKO, WOG and SOCAR some UAH 77 million for anticompetitive concerted actions in the market of light petroleum products, in particular, for similar actions during 2017, head of the committee Yuriy Terentyev said on his Facebook page. |
Ukrtransnafta, Russia's Transneft in talks over contaminated oil
KYIV, May 15 – The operator of the oil transport system of Ukraine, JSC Ukrtransnafta, and Russia's Transneft are negotiating the agreement on compensation of expenses for displacing non-merchantable oil from the Druzhba oil pipeline, the press service of Ukrtransnafta wrote on the company's Facebook page.

Ukrtelecom to open access to Internet to 6-mln people in remote villages
KYIV, May 14 – The state phone company Ukrtelecom designed a project to connect remote settlements to the broadband Internet access service, which could cover 8,000 villages where 6 million residents are living, during two years, Director for Mass Market Segment at Ukrtelecom Denys Zakharenko said at the presentation of the project in Kyiv on Monday.

Ukraine, Poland start cross-border ‘Carpathian strategy’ project
