Lithuania's Modus Group invests EUR 30 million in solar power plants in Ukraine

VILNIUS, Aug 14 - Lithuania's Modus Group is investing EUR 30 million in a new cluster of solar power plants in Ukraine's northwest.

The group's Green Genius and Modus Energy International will implement a project for the creation of a cluster of solar power plants with a capacity of 35 MW, the company has said in a press release.


Ukraine’s GDP grows 3.6% on year in April-June: State Statistics Service

KYIV, Aug 14 - The growth of Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in April-June 2018 was 3.6% compared to the same period in 2017, while the growth rate in the first quarter was lower, namely 3.1%, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said on Tuesday.

KYIV, Aug 15 - Gazprom of Russia in the first half of 2018 supplied 1.534 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas to the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions that are not controlled by Ukraine, which is 10.4% more than in the first half of 2017 (1.389 bcm) and 25.3% more than in the first half of 2016, according to the Russian company.


Ukraine airline passenger traffic up 40% in January-June

KYIV, Aug 14 - Ukrainian airlines saw a 40% rise in passenger transportation in January-June year-over-year, to 4.565 million people. Cargo and mail transportation fell by 9%, to 35,500 tons.
