Ukraine gas production reported down 5.5% y-o-y through November

KIEV, Dec. 13 - Ukraine reduced gas production 5.5% in January-November year-on-year to 18.354 billion cubic meters (bcm), with natural gas output rising 5.2% to 17.574 bcm, the Fuel and Energy Ministry reported.


Poland’s PGNiG selling stake in Dewon hydrocarbon production company

KIEV, Dec. 14 – Polskie Gorni&#241;two Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG), Poland's largest gas distribution company, is selling its stake in Kiev-based CJSC Dewon company, which was set up for hydrocarbon production in Ukraine, according to Gazeta Prawna.


Ukrenergo sells 1,860 MW of transmission capacity for UAH208,100

KIEV, Dec. 15 – Ukrenergo sold 1,860 MW of electricity transmission capacity to three companies for UAH 208,100 at an auction for access to the Ukrainian power grid to export electricity from January 1 to December 31, 2011.


Ukravtodor chief says service will pay UAH9.8b on loans next year

KIEV, Dec. 14 – The State Road Service (Ukravtodor) in 2010 is to pay UAH 9.8 billion on loans that were raised earlier, the service head, Vadym Hurzhos, said in an interview with the Business newspaper.


Ukraine plans to form 323,000-ton oil and fuel reserve in 2011

KIEV, Dec. 14 – Ukraine plans in 2011 to form minimum oil and fuel reserves of 323,000 tons.

According to a plan for the creation of minimum oil and fuel reserves for the period until 2020 approved by the cabinet, later the stock will be increased by 10% every year, and it will be bought to 3.23 million tons by 2020.


Budget delay won’t hurt hryvnia rate much, says NBU advisor

KIEV, Dec. 14 – A delay in the adoption of the national budget for 2010 will not significantly influence the hryvnia exchange rate, which will remain stable even if the budget process is slowed down, according to Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of the group of advisors to the NBU's governor.


Kiev Economic Court orders return of Odessa chemical plant deposit

KIEV, Dec. 14 - Kiev Economic Court has ordered the State Property Fund to return a UAH 400 million deposit to Frunze-Flora, which the company paid to bid in a tender to sell Odessa port-side chemical plant that failed in September.


Donbas mine sells 300,000 Kyoto emission units to ING Bank N.V.

KIEV, Dec. 15 – OJSC Komsomolets Donbasu mine (Kirovske, Donetsk region), part of DTEK Energy Company, has signed an agreement on the sale of 300,000 Emission Reduction Units (ERU) to ING Bank N.V. (the Netherlands) under the Kyoto protocol’s Joint Implementation scheme.


Output of some construction materials fell as much as 46% in November

KIEV, Dec. 13 - The output of some types of construction materials fell in November compared to October by 15.4%-45.7%, the State Statistics Committee said.


Ukraine reduces electricity imports by 15.4% YTD through Nov. 30

KIEV, Dec. 13 - Ukraine reduced electricity exports by 15.4% or 1.318 billion kWh year-on-year in January to November, to 7.263 billion kWh, the Fuel and Energy Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine.
