GTSOU warns profitability to drop after end of Russian gas transit to Europe Journal Staff Report
Starting in 2025, higher natural gas transportation fees are expected to offset increased expenses for operating the gas transmission system without Russian transit. "However, in a downside scenario, these costs will be compensated to a lesser degree by consumers, reducing GTSOU's profitability [Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine]," stated Ukraine's Ministry of Finance in its annual Fiscal Risks Information, compiled using data from state-owned companies for the 2025 state budget.
