Ukraine reduces natural gas consumption 9.4% on year in 2021 Journal Staff Report
In 2021, Ukraine reduced natural gas consumption by 9.4% (by 2.9 billion cubic meters) compared with 2020, to 28 billion cubic meters, according to the materials of the Ministry of Energy. The GTS Operator of Ukraine said on its Facebook page that gas consumption by the population last year amounted to 8.6 billion cubic meters of gas (up by 5% versus 2020), heat producers – 6.3 billion cubic meters (24% less), industry, budgetary organizations and other non-residential consumers – 11.9 billion cubic meters (3% less).
