NBU likely to hike refinancing rate 50 basis points to 8%: banker poll Journal Staff Report
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on June 17 will raise the refinancing rate by 50 basis points (b.p.), to 8% per annum, due to the rise in inflation above the forecast, according to bankers polled by Interfax-Ukraine. "We expect that in June the NBU will be forced to continue the cycle of increasing the refinancing rate," Roman Lepak, the director of the strategy department at Kredobank, said.
