KYIV, March 4 – The potential cessation of USAID's support for Ukraine's energy sector recovery presents a challenge, particularly for critical infrastructure facilities. However, the issue can be addressed by finding alternative funding sources, according to Olha Babiy, former member of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) and an energy sector expert.

04.03.2025 IMF, Ukraine reach staff level agreement on 4-year $15.5-bln EFF loan
KYIV, March 3 – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff and the Ukrainian authorities have reached staff level agreement (SLA) on the Seventh Review of the four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement worth $15.5 billion, which subject to approval by the IMF Executive Board, paves the way for the eighth tranche of about $400 million (SDR 300 million), bringing the total disbursements under the program to $10.1 billion.

04.03.2025 IMF revises downward Ukraine's 2025 economic growth forecast
KYIV, March 3 - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised downward the forecast for Ukraine's economic growth in 2025, reducing it by 0.5 percentage points (p.p.) compared to the previous forecast - to 2-3%, the fund said in a press release following the results of the mission's work on the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

03.03.2025 Ukraine to receive $58-mln grant from Japan for Emergency Recovery
KYIV, Feb 28 – The Ukrainian government will receive a grant from Japan for the implementation of the fourth phase of the Emergency Recovery Program in the amount of $58 million, which will be directed, among other things, to humanitarian demining, energy, water supply, public health and safety, and education, the press service of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine reported.
