Russian attacks target natural gas assets, Naftogaz says

KYIV, Feb 21 – The situation with natural gas in Ukraine, impacted by Russian attacks, remains challenging but not critical and is fully under control, according to Naftogaz Group CEO Roman Chumak. He made this statement during a meeting with the leadership of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Ukraine, headed by Gavin Gray.

Ukrainian firms use more steel in January as defense production rises

KYIV, Feb 21 – Ukrainian enterprises increased their consumption of rolled metal in January of this year by 2.16 times compared to the same period last year, to 297,100 tons.

According to the press release of the Ukrmetalurgprom association, 103,000 tons, or 34.67% of the domestic market for rolled metal consumption, were imported during this period.
