JYSK invests UAH 400-mln to expand Ukrainian network in 2025

KYIV, Oct 3 – International retailer JYSK has invested approximately 400 million UAH in expanding its Ukrainian network from 2022-2024 and plans to open 12 new stores in 2025, announced JYSK Ukraine's Country Director, Yevhen Ivanitsa, at a press conference on Wednesday.

Italy: G7 must send $50-bln to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets in 2024

KYIV, Sept 30 – Italy, as the G7 presidency, is currently seeking a political commitment from the EU and G7 countries to participate in an initiative to provide Ukraine with $50 billion by the end of 2024 from revenues from frozen Russian assets around the end of October, European Commission Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis said.

10 out of 11 NBU policy committee members backed keeping rates unchanged

KYIV, Sept 30 – The vast majority – 10 out of 11 – members of the National Bank of Ukraine's (NBU) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) supported keeping the key policy rate at 13% during a meeting on September 18, according to the committee's published discussion results. One member, however, advocated for an increase to 13.5%.

Hungary agrees to help Ukraine repair energy sector ahead of winter

EBRD approves EUR 50-mln loan to Kyivteploenergo for critical needs

KYIV, Sept 27 - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a EUR 50 million loan to Kyivteploenergo for critical needs related to heating systems on Wednesday, September 25. According to a statement on the bank's website, the total project cost is EUR 55 million, with EUR 5 million provided as a grant by the EBRD Crisis Response Special Fund.
