Ukraine to establish Ukrposhta Bank in 2025 after acquiring Pinbank

KYIV, Jan 28 – Following the transfer of shares in First Investment Bank (Pinbank) to the Ministry of Territories and Communities Development, Ukrposhta Bank will be established and is expected to begin providing banking services across 6,000 branches and 25,000 points of presence throughout Ukraine by 2025, the company announced on Tuesday.

Ukrainian officials meet U.S. counterparts to discuss SMR Technology

KYIV, Jan 28 – Representatives of Ukraine's Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Economy, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SSTC NRS), and major Ukrainian energy companies took part in a series of initial meetings last week in Krak&#243;w, Poland. Nova Poshta expands network to 37,210 service points in Ukraine in 2024

NABU to begin investigation of Defense Minister after corruption allegations

Russia assets converted to cash with new opportunities for confiscation

DAVOS, Jan 27 – A significant portion of Russian state assets, previously held in debt securities through Belgium's Euroclear, is now in cash form in correspondent banks' accounts following the redemption of those securities. This shift places the assets under the jurisdiction of many more countries, providing new opportunities for their confiscation, according to Yuliya Ziskina, senior lawyer of the Razom for Ukraine non-profit organization.

USAID requests 481.6-mln for Ukraine in 2025

KYIV, Jan 27 – USAID's budget request for Ukraine for the 2025 fiscal year (FY, October 1, 2024-September 30, 2025) amounts to $481.6 million, as stated in documents available on the agency's websites. This aid, however, has been frozen by the new U.S. administration for 90 days.

Estonian furniture maker in Ukraine to hire 160 people from Bangladesh

Ukraine may start transit of Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe: Zelenskyy
