Ukraines banking sector reports UAH 4.65-bln in net losses in Jan-Jun

KYIV, Aug 11 The net loss of the Ukrainian banking sector in the first half of 2022 amounted to UAH 4.65 billion due to the formation of reserves for expected losses from the consequences of the war, the National Bank of Ukraine said.

S&P lowers Ukrzaliznytsias long-term credit rating of to 'CCC-' from 'CCC'

KYIV, Aug 10 S&P lowered its long-term issuer credit rating on Ukrzaliznytsia to 'CCC-' from 'CCC', the agency said on its website.

"We lowered our long-term issuer credit rating on Ukrzaliznytsia to 'CCC-' from 'CCC'. We removed all ratings from CreditWatch with negative implications, where we placed them on June 1, 2022," it said.

Ukraine may see $5.5-bln in economic benefit from unblocking seaports

KYIV, Aug 10 The total economic benefit from unblocking the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian seaports will amount to $5.5 billion according to optimistic expectations, while an average of 2 million tons of agricultural products per month are expected to be delivered to foreign markets by the end of this year, according to the website of the Center for Food Research and Land Use of KSE Institute on Tuesday.
