Ukraines forex reserves drop to $28.7-bln after debt payments

KYIV, Oct 5 After growing to $31.614 billion (in equivalent) in August, Ukraine's international FX reserves decreased in September due to government payments on external loans and amounted to $28.7 billion, Head of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Bohdan Danylyshyn has said.

Ukraines sugar industry to incur losses after gas price doubles in October

KYIV, Oct 4 The Ukrainian sugar industry, which is on the verge of unprofitability, will incur additional losses due to the rise in prices for natural gas from UAH 11,000 per 1,000 cubic meters in July up to UAH 28,000 per 1,000 cubic meters in October, the business community asks the Prime Minister to provide subsidies for sugar producers in the 2022 state budget in the amount of UAH 150 per ton of raw materials sold.
