KIEV, Feb. 12 – The National Bank of Ukraine is ready to continue supporting the cabinet's payments for imported Russian natural gas, although only as a part of its monetary program, according to Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of the group of advisors to the NBU.

"The NBU won’t pay debts, including Naftogaz Ukrainy's debts, if they were not in line with our conception of how we can allow ourselves to expand money supply," he said.
