KIEV, Jan. 18 – Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who needs stronger support to defeat opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych in the runoff on February 7, reached out to Serhiy Tyhypko, the No. 3 candidate, seeking support.
“We suggested such talks,” Serhiy Sobolev, a senior Tymoshenko group member, said at a talk show on Channel 5. “On Sunday we had an agreement about the first meeting with the Tyhypko campaign.”
