WASHINGTON, Jan. 14 – The International Monetary Fund may resume lending to Ukraine after the presidential election in this country is over, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the IMF managing director, said Thursday.

"I am confident that as soon as this normally shaky electoral period will be over, it will be possible to resume a normal relationship," Strauss-Kahn told a news conference.
