KIEV, Jan. 14 – The capacity of the Ukrainian metals products market shrank by 37% in 2009, to 5.8 million tons.
The data was revealed by the head of the department for the mining and metals complex at Derzhzovnishinform, Volodymyr Pikovsky, at a meeting with representatives of mining and metals companies in Dnipropetrovsk on Wednesday.
He said that in 2010 a 5-6% year-over-year rise in consumption of metals products in Ukraine is expected.
