KIEV, Sept. 9 – President Viktor Yushchenko will travel to Turkmenistan on Monday for three-day talks seeking to secure direct supplies of natural gas to the country, Yushchenko’s press service reported Wednesday.

The talks, which are aimed at reducing dependence on Russian natural gas, if successful would make case for changing the 10-year gas supply agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
