KIEV, Aug. 31 – The International Monetary Fund may end its cooperation with Ukraine if the Ukrainian government groundlessly boosts a state budget deficit and shatters the economic situation in the country, according to IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Max Alier.
"We'll end our cooperation if such [budget deficit] deviations will be the result of deliberate policies that contradict the spirit and goals of the program… We're not planning to participate in the policy that brings a worsening of the economic crisis," he said in an interview with the Kontrakty newspaper.
