Kiev, Aug. 17 - Ukraine will soon receive 1.309 billion SDR ($2.04 billion) in the International Monetary Funds's SDR allocations, the IMF announced.
The IMF board approved the allocation of SDR worth $250 billion among 186 countries, which will take place on Aug. 28.
A further 21.4 billion SDR ($33 billion) will be allocated among IMF members who entered the organization after 1981 and have never received SDR.
The general allocation is to provide liquidity to the global economic system by supplementing the forex reserves of members.
