KIEV, April 11 - Ukraine seeks to reduce imports of natural gas from Russia to 35 billion cubic meters in 2010, down 33% from what had been originally planned, a government official said Tuesday.
“We are in talks,” the official said, adding that Russia has not yet accepted the proposal.
Top manager of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national oil and gas company, visited Moscow last week for the talks with their counterparts from Gazprom, the Russian gas giant, the official said.
