KIEV, July 21 - Ukraine has announced steps aimed at strengthening relations with Libya, including a new visa regime and joint ventures aimed at developing Ukrainian oil fields.
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, speaking following the fourth meeting of the Ukraine-Libya Cooperation Commission in Kiev on Monday, said that the group would “prepare several important documents for our next meeting. This will be a memorandum of mutual understanding regarding a simplified visa issuing procedure for the citizens of both countries, [including] students, [people seeking medical treatment], and tourists.”
