KIEV, July 16 – Viktor Yanukovych, the leader of the opposition Regions Party, on Thursday called for investigation of the way the government has been spending money received from the International Monetary Fund.

Ukraine received $7.3 billion in lending from the IMF since November 2008, when the Washington-based lender had approved a $16.4 billion two-year standby loan.
