KIEV, July 9 – The State Statistics Committee and the European Commission are planning to implement a joint project to bring Ukraine's macroeconomic statistics into line with international standards, Head of Operations Section II of the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine Claudia Fischer said.

"We're planning to implement a project based on the twinning system. The amount of funds [for the project] is planned at EUR 200,000… The major goal of this project will be the harmonization and [bringing] Ukrainian statistics into compliance with the statistics of the European Union," she said at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday.
