KIEV, July 7 – Ukraine will probably reduce exports of grain to 17 million tons of grain over the next 12 months, down from 24.7 million metric tons, due to lower output, a senior official said.
"Ukrainian farmers will be able to supply 17 million tons of [grain] to the foreign markets,” Anatoliy Rozgon, the head of market development department at the Agriculture Ministry, said in a statement. “This is an approximate figure."
Ukraine exported 24.7 million metric tons of grain over the previous 12 months, to become the world’s third biggest exporter of grain, after the United States and the European Union.
