KIEV, July 3 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny appointed Oleksiy Cheberda as chairman of the country’s largest natural gas producer UkrGazVydobuvannya (UGV), Naftogaz said Friday.
Cheberda, 51, who until recently worked as deputy director of UGV, replaced Illya Rybchych at the post, the company said.
Naftogaz first deputy chairman Ihor Didenko introduced the new director to the company’s employees on Friday. Naftogaz, which owns 100% stake in UkrGazVydobuvannya, refused to disclose the reason for the reshuffling.
The development comes three months after the government has reshuffled top managers at UkrTransGaz, a gas transportation unit of Naftogaz. UGV and UkrTransGaz are the two biggest units of Naftogaz.
