KIEV, July 2 – The Ukrainian cabinet has approved state guarantees for municipal heat supply companies to raise up to UAH3. 8 billion from Oschadbank to pay their debts for natural gas consumed in 2009.

This year's procedure for the issue of state guarantees to economic entities that generate heat energy for households and budget organizations was approved in cabinet resolution No. 644 of June 22, 2009.

According the document, the funds received by Naftogaz Ukrayiny and its subsidiary Gaz Ukrayiny under the scheme should be earmarked for pumping natural gas to the country's underground storage facilities.
