KIEV, June 4 – The Regions Party will not join a coalition with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s group until the constitution is amended, suggesting the process may take four months, Boris Kolesnikov, a senior party member, said.

“The coalition does not make sense before the constitutional amendments are approved,” Kolesnikov said in an interview with Segodnia daily.

The comments suggest that the Regions Party and the group led by Tymoshenko will seek to approve the amendments in the first reading within days and submit them to the Constitutional Court.
