KIEV, April 21 – President Viktor Yushchenko has demanded that the government take urgent measures to protect the country's domestic market from low-quality products and create favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship and competition.

The head of state expressed concern over the current situation with Ukraine's agricultural and industrial production in a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, his press service reported on Tuesday.
