KIEV, April 11 – Russia left the door open for a possible action against Ukraine for its inability to buy as much natural gas as had been originally planned, a newspaper reported Saturday, citing obtained documents.

Ukraine, hit by the severe economic crisis, imported 2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first quarter, down from 5 billion cu m planned originally, and fears this may eventually trigger the action.
