KIEV, April 2 – Parliament’s refusal to approve Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s anti-crisis measures may be sufficient reason for an early general election, a senior official at President Viktor Yushchenko’s office said Thursday.
Ihor Pukshyn, deputy chief of staff at the Yushchenko office, said the president had for now had no intention to dismiss Parliament, but hadn’t ruled out such decision later.
“There are reasons for the early parliamentary election,” Pukshyn told Channel 5 television late Thursday.
