KIEV, March 20 – EnergoAtom, Ukraine’s nuclear power generating giant, will test nuclear fuel produced by Westinghouse Electric Co. of the US this year and next, as it seeks cutting dependence on Russian-made fuel, the company said.

EnergoAtom is expected to receive 42 nuclear fuel assemblies from Westinghouse later this year that will be loaded at the South-Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant’s reactor No. 3 in January 2010, EnergoAtom said in a statement.
