KIEV, March 16 – The preliminary results of an early election to Ternopil regional council showed “increased public distrust in the government, even in areas that traditionally support it,” Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych said.

"Despite the results of the voting, the Regions Party calls for the people's will to be acknowledged," Yanukovych said in comments to Interfax-Ukraine on the preliminary results of the elections in Ternopil region.
